Jeromaia Detto is an award nominated comedian, producer and workshop facilitator currently based in Melbourne. He specialises in improv theatre and clown and has been involved in shows across the globe since beginning comedy in 2013. His style is simple, silly and extremely playful, creating delightfully whimsical moments for audiences young and old.
Jeromaia has graduated from Improv Theatre Sydney (2016) , iO theatre Summer intensive in Chicago (2017) and, in France, Ecole Philippe Gaulier (2021). In 2019 he became a core member of the internationally renowned variety show, ‘The Lost Cabaret’ producing and perfroming in seasons in Sydney, Paris and Melbourne. Jeromaia has also trained and performed overseas, with the Norway Clown Camp under the guidance of Jango Edwards and Spymonkey‘s Aitor Basauri and Toby Park.

In 2022, he was nominated for Best Comedy at Sydney Fringe for his second solo show MUSH as well as being one of three people nominated for a NIDA Emerging Producer award. Jeromaia is also a national improv champion, taking out the 2019 Maestro Competition at Adelaide Fringe. He is a two time Cranston Cup Theatresports Grand Finalist and has featured as an Improv “All-Star” in Celebrity Theatresports multiple times. Over the past decade Jeromaia has been involved in a wide range of artistic projects including interactive/immersive theatre, improv, sketch, clown and an array of variety shows.
Since 2017 Jeromaia has taught improv, clown and theatre in a variety of environments. These include, university meetups, early learning centres, schools, and coaching adult long form groups in both French and English. He has also taught workshops internationally in Germany, The Netherlands and France as well as in the academic and corporate sectors.
