Jeromaia Detto is a multi award winning comedian, producer and workshop facilitator currently based in Melbourne, Australia. Over the last decade, Jeromaia has become an expert in play based performance, specialising in improv and clown. He has developed a unique style that is simple, silly and extremely playful, and is passionate about creating spaces that invite collaborative audience participation, allowing audiences young and old to be lost in moments of fun and whimsy.
Jeromaia graduated from Improv Theatre Sydney (2016) , iO theatre Summer intensive in Chicago (2017) and, in France, Ecole Philippe Gaulier (2019-2021). He has also trained and performed overseas, with the Norway Clown Camp under the guidance of Jango Edwards and Spymonkey‘s Aitor Basauri and Toby Park.

Jeromaia is a national improv champion, taking out the 2019 Adelaide Fringe Maestro Competition. He is a two time Cranston Cup Theatresports Grand Finalist and has mulitple times featured as an Improv “All-Star” in Celebrity Theatresports. Over the past decade Jeromaia has been involved in a wide range of artistic projects as a performer, director and collaborator including interactive/immersive theatre, improv, sketch, clown and an array of variety shows.
Jeromaia has been teaching improv, clown and theatre across Australia and Europe since 2017. In this time he has sold out workshops in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide and Melbourne, developing a teaching style that centres on play, freedom and honesty for performers to be challenged in a safe and supportive space. Jeromaia has worked with a range of organisations and companies, university groups, early learning centres, highschools, drama camps, private theatre groups, diability groups and various NGO’s. Internationally Jeromaia has facilitated sessions in Dubai, Germany, The Netherlands and France.
Jeromaia has collaborated with a range of internationally renowned variety shows. He has produced and performed seasons of The Lost Cabaret across Sydney, Paris, Edinbourgh, Adelaide and Melbourne, as well as online. He has also performed as an ensemble member of Stamptown Comedy in LA and Edinbourgh and Plaugue Of Idiots in Melbourne.
Currently, Jeromaia can be found on the Festival circuit touring his critically acclaimed solo clown shows ‘MUSH‘ and ‘When I Grow Up…‘ as well as a range of kids shows with his comedy partner Jon Walpole!
