Jeromaia Detto is a multi-award winning theatre maker based in Melbourne. He has been performing for over a decade, selling out shows across Europe and Australia. Jeromaia specialises in improvised theatre and clown, creating simple, silly and extremely playful spaces, for audiences young and old.
He has studied in Sydney, London, Oslo and Chicago, as well as being a graduate of acclaimed French Theatre and Clown school, Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Since 2017 Jeromaia has sold out workshops across Australia and Europe as well as working with corporate and academic groups.
His pedagogy is based on the Gaulier style, focusing on honesty, freedom and play. He has taught workshops with NSW DoE Drama camps, Primary and Secondary extra-curricular drama programs, at The Powerhouse Museum and with kids improv groups in France.
Jeromaia connects with each student at their level, allowing them to be challenged and grow in a safe and playful space!
